You're upgrading your GPU and found the drivers tricky—no worries, there are alternatives. You might need a workaround or specific drivers for the Lenovo ThinkStation RTX 3080. Check official sources or community forums for the latest support options.

Could these alternatives function properly? Standard RTX 3080 drivers are likely suitable since Lenovo doesn’t develop the GPU themselves, while Nvidia handles it.

I installed the Thinkstation rtx 3080 drivers on Duck Duck Go and quickly located the correct versions on the ROG website.

The GPU manager for your graphics card comes from Nvidia's site and relies solely on your GPU model. Other components or your system configuration are irrelevant. Since Nvidia manufactures the GPU and provides the drivers, Lenovo isn't involved. You can use DDU from guru3d.com to clear your previous AMD driver before installing the new Nvidia drivers. Two installation options exist:
- Download and install GeForce Experience directly; it will identify your GPU and apply the latest driver automatically.
- Visit the official Nvidia download page and follow the instructions to set up the driver manually.

Any reason for not just using the Nvidia drivers? If you swapped from a 6600 to a 3080 you're obviously using desktop graphics cards....

He mentioned a solution was required, but I received the standard drivers now. Thanks!

It may require a special RGB control software with a workaround, but custom drivers aren't necessary.
