I constructed my initial PC using the Phanteks P300A, which gave me additional Argon 2 fans but I’m unsure where to connect them. My motherboard is an MSI MGPX 570 Wi-Fi, so I’m not sure if the fans should go into the system fan, jrgb, jrainbow, pump fan, etc. The fans I have are the Deep Cool RF120M.
I don’t rely on RGB, which limits my understanding. If you’re not using an AIO and don’t have another purpose for the pump (which would usually be for your cooler), it might work—but the system would mistake it for your CPU AIO being controlled. If you do have a pump for an AIO or a custom loop with RGB, connect it there. JRgb or jrainbow could be suitable alternatives. I’m not sure about jrainbow; I recognize it as a brand name for such products. You might also face compatibility problems. Check your fans’ compatibility with jrainbow—if not listed, they probably won’t work. Manufacturers often avoid standardization to protect their interests, making this a deliberate choice.
If you install the pump header, the fans should still function properly throughout the case. Since you have multiple fans, you’ll likely need additional headers. The fans don’t indicate any compatibility issues with the JRGB header, so it’s a viable option.
Fan Speed Details
This setting influences temperature and color changes impact the displayed hue. Each header should have its own selection. The fan header uses a 4-pin mini MOLEX connector, while the RGB/Argb header adapts to whatever you choose. You can pick different probes for fan speed curves. By default, CPU temperature is used, though other probes may be available. It seems one pump defaults to CPU temp, which won’t alter color output. It’s curious how color adjustments based on temperature would tie back to a CPU probe.

Sorry for the delayed reply—there’s a hurricane there. I figured the fan curves need to be based on something practical, which makes sense since the CPU design does. That was a pretty basic question. What exactly do you want to adjust? Speed and color control? And are you referring to a mini Molex connector you mentioned?
