It seems the issue is with the LED lighting around the power stages for the CPU. This area is hidden under the large heatsink for the VRMs, making it hard for users to access. The specific spot mentioned is on the top left of the CPU socket near the rear I/O. It appears to be a Z790 UD series motherboard from Gigabyte. The reference image is linked in the original post.

Consider using a USB 3.0 to 2.0 adapter instead. The USB 2.0 hub might only work for the LEDs, not for general use.
