Settings should specify where torrents are placed after completion. Each folder generated from a completed torrent will carry the folder name of its label. Unlabeled torrents remain stored in the standard directory.

What labels should you use? You just moved from Vuze because the system didn’t pick files correctly and didn’t download them.

I avoid uTorrent 3.0 and newer. Previous versions worked fine—just a click. LABEL Utorrent 3.0 and above contains unnecessary files. Stick with 2.0.3 or earlier. http://www.oldversion.com/windows/utorrent/

You're asking for clarification on what you mean by that statement. Could you provide more details or rephrase your question?

I recall disabling the likely configuration option during the installation setup.

You're referring to unnecessary software included with a product. It's the extra features or programs that aren't essential for use.

They included a lot of unnecessary content that wasn't asked for. Versions under 3.0 are more compact, quicker, and simpler to use. Get an older release here. 2.0.3 works best. http://www.oldversion.com/windows/utorrent/

It would be better if they recognized the need. Instead of mixing everything, having a separate folder for each torrent makes more sense.

There are some issues with your setup. I'm currently using version 3.3.1, and it creates a new folder for each torrent. This behavior has been consistent over time.
