I received a Panasonic FZ-G1 (toughpad/tablet) without its SSD drive. In a hurry, I considered installing a new SSD and running Windows 8 using a USB drive. But after formatting the new SSD and before trying to install, I encountered what I think is the BIOS password, which I don’t have. Would using a bootable USB help resolve this issue?

The bootable USB is unrelated to the BIOS password. The only option is to obtain the password from the prior owner or contact Panasonic. Forum guidelines forbid help in bypassing passwords.

Usually, on a laptop or desktop, you simply take out the motherboard battery to reset the BIOS.
