Aio - Corsair H115i Pro RGB Motherboard - Trouble with Asus X470-F Gaming. One of the cables from the cooler has a CPU 3-pin connector, but the board seems to only have 4-pin connectors. Where should I find it? Thanks!
You connect the 3-pin to your 4-pin CPU header. The device fits only in one orientation due to plastic spacers on the cable and connector. The fourth pin is optional, as is the third pin. The first two pins along with the plus and minus signals, plus voltage measurement for speed adjustment, and the fourth pin for PWM control—all are compatible with modern boards. Using a 4-pin header works just as well.
You should connect it according to the instructions in the manual—either the AIO pump fan header or the CPU fan header. Check the documentation for clarity.
Besides the fan curve, there isn't much else to change. You can keep it as is, but it might sound too loud. To tweak the pump speed, switching from PWM to DC control usually helps.
