Hello. I need to link two computers using different routers while keeping them connected to their own internet sources. Each has just one RJ-45 port. I understand there are options with dual-port devices, but I’m unsure if they fit the setup. Please advise.

Network cards can be installed on computers via PCI-E or PCI slots, or through USB connections. A basic Ethernet cable can link the ports directly between devices without additional hardware. Contemporary smart cards identify pairs and distinguish themselves from switches or routers. Assign each machine a unique local IP address (such as 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2) using the same subnet mask. Establishing a network simply involves setting these addresses and enabling communication between the two machines. Alternatively, use a switch for management, create VLANs, and connect both computers to it, maintaining separate internet links for each device.
