I’m collecting components for my new PC. I won’t reuse any previous hardware. I also don’t want to purchase Windows again. Is it possible to keep my older, active Windows version on the new system after a clean install? Thanks!

Yes, you can use the drive immediately after booting and then copy it over later.

Occasionally typing the code again helps, other times it doesn’t. It’s been successful a couple of times recently, but some people haven’t had the same luck.

OEM remains connected to the MS account, enabling seamless transfer using that account.
