Your taskbar looks like it’s been changed to a gray version that doesn’t match your wallpaper. You’re looking to restore the original black taskbar, and you’ve already noted your preferences.

Disable the transparency features, this should resolve the issue.

It differs from before—it remains gray instead of black, and the background doesn’t bleed through like it did in 1809. My accent color is blue. Even when I choose pitch black and check the option, it still looks identical.

Yes, the Windows task bar appears as dark gray rather than black. This aligns with Microsoft's Fluent Design direction. I used a tool in the past that hides the task bar background by modifying Explorer.exe or DWM.exe code. However, this approach caused issues with redraw calls, leading to flickering when maximizing or restoring windows, which was quite bothersome.

It seems like you're questioning the trend of black wallpapers, wondering if they're outdated or unappealing. It looks like you're reflecting on how such a design choice might affect your personal style or the overall aesthetic of your computer screen.

I know it has literally been 2 years and I can see that you switched away from windows, but there is this really neat and free app on the Microsoft Strore called "TranslucentTB". It lets you set the taskbar to different designs like clear, blur, fluent and, most importantly, opaque, which is set to black by default. It also lets you adjust AeroPeek visbility and allows for complete customization on what backround effect is used where. That means that you could, for example, set it to trasparent when on the desktop and opaque black in everything else. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/transl...verviewtab
