Consider a cooler CPU cooler and a high-performance M.2 slot compatible with your R7 7700X. Look for a M.2 slot that supports higher voltages if needed.

A B650 or X670 board works well. The issue lies with the CPU cooler, not the board itself.

For a 7700X, most AM5 boards will suffice. The key is checking if the board offers the capabilities you require. Consider your USB needs—how many ports? What PCIe devices will you add? How many M.2 slots do you require? Do you need Wi-Fi or a quicker Ethernet connection? These details matter.

The heat management is mostly taken care of by the CPU cooler. If you're referring to VRM, the 7700x isn't overly power-hungry. I connected it with an ASUS TUF B650 PLUS WIFI and everything worked smoothly, even while running my overclocked 9800X3D without hitting any extreme limits.

I run my 7700X with an MSI B650 Tomahawk. Keep in mind if you don’t want the top 95%+ speed, switch the chip to eco mode. By default these chips try to work hard until they reach 95°C and stay there. In eco mode they act more like regular chips.

I won't repeat what others said, since it's all accurate. This was for my 7700X... Gigabyte B650 AORUS Pro AX. My friend still uses it with his 7700X... Gigabyte B650 AORUS Elite AX. Both models are solid enough for not just a 7700X but also the 9950X or any other AMD release for that socket.
