Are you looking for affordable or free tools to restrict certain websites or software on your network? You're using a Windows system with a Windows 2012 domain controller—consider checking out solutions like Kaspersky SafeNet, Bitdefender Antivirus Free, or Windows Defender with custom filters. Let me know if you need more specific recommendations!

OpenDNS is available for $20 a year, but it offers a free registration option. You might want to try the free version first before committing.

It seems to be referred to as a Cisco umbrella. It looks like you might not require any Cisco parts.

You don’t have to rely on Cisco gear to work with Cisco Umbrella. A simpler, more affordable approach is to use your internal DNS to redirect the domains you wish to block. This method isn’t designed for large-scale use, but it should suffice if you only need to block a few domains. Create an A record for each domain and point it to a local address like 127.0.0.1. Keep in mind that such blocks can be easily bypassed, just like any DNS-based restriction.

Thank you for your responses. I will look into implementing it on the AD. It might be necessary to discover a method to block ports, since some applications such as Discord operate over Wi-Fi.
