Hey there! A friend is facing issues with his HDD files. Many files are turning into empty 0-byte files, making it hard to delete them. Files are shrinking to just 0 bytes and folders are appearing as empty spaces. While moving files seems possible, deleting them isn't working. The problem keeps getting worse. Could someone else have encountered the same issue and found a fix? Is this related to data corruption or is the drive simply failing? Thanks for reading!

The HDD is clearly failing. Use CrystalDiskInfo to check the details—it often points to bad sectors. Likely candidates are Seagate or Toshiba drives.
