I was struggling with a few months ago when my SSD would reach 100% during game downloads, followed by a blue screen. Just yesterday I replaced the SSD and installed Windows, but the issue persisted—no blue screen this time, yet the drive disappeared entirely from Disk Management, Task Manager, or File Explorer. I had to restart and even then it wouldn’t appear. When I tried installing a game on my new drive, it worked fine. I checked RAM with MemTest, swapped RAM sticks, updated drivers, disabled the page file, but nothing helped. I suspect the problem might be with the motherboard, though I’m not sure. I don’t have another spare to test.
Hello, consider reverting to the standard NVMe controller via Device Manager. This approach may resolve the problem at times.
Hi, thanks for letting me know. I attempted to revert the plus but noticed I missed some extra window updates. It didn’t resolve the issue, and I’m still experiencing the same problem.
It might be your MOBO. Occasionally crashes stem from other causes. Consider disconnecting everything, unmounting the CPU, repasting it, and unplugging all cables before reconnecting. This SSD issue could involve hardware or software faults. A complete disconnection and reconnection might resolve the problem.
Use Samsung Magician to verify if your SSD requires a firmware update. This might also relate to disk issues. Wouldn’t your disk cost less than your motherboard? Update, I’ve already changed the disk… I didn’t notice it. Have you installed the newest Intel storage drivers?
