The file appears to have issues because Windows doesn’t support certain characters in filenames, especially the colon. Try renaming it with only allowed characters or move it to a different directory. This should resolve the opening problems without needing Linux. Windows restricts filename characters to avoid confusion and compatibility issues.

Convert your files into a compressed archive for easy sharing. Create a secure backup of your data. Organize your information into a single file for convenience.

Consider using AVG Shredder or place it in a file locker (at school, we’ll confirm the exact program name once you’re home) and then proceed to delete everything in the secure folder. Alternatively, try this link: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/796...elete.html

Sure, ignore the 2.56 TB of data on that drive. That one didn’t work. I’ll probably attempt to remove it during the next boot.

Consider using the command prompt to remove the file or you might need to rely on Linux tools.

It seems strange how Windows handles files—it recognizes their presence but resists any changes once you try to modify them. I suspect I’ll need to switch to Linux for better control.
