I need some advice on some free or cheap file management programs. I have been using PowerDesk for years and recently bought it, which was a huge mistake! I was running version 6 which worked forever and recently purchased version 9 for about $40. The old and new version look the same and run exactly like version 6. It is trash and I want software that works well but one that actually works. PowerDesk has four vertical panes: file tree, folder contents, file tree, folder contents. That lets you easily copy files from one place to another. I also tried a free shareware copy of Total Commander, but I won't buy it because I don't like how it behaves. I bought and tried GoodSync to try and sync two different external hard drives, but that doesn't work either. I don't like automatic backups. I am looking for some good file management software that is free or cheap and someone who has some suggestions. If you could point me to a link that compares this type of software to other file management programs it would be even better! Thanks, Ryan
