I guess by now everyone and their grandma knows about Asus and Ryzen 7000 situation. To not waste everyone’s time with long prelude, just a simple question. is 1.3v limit on vsoc safe for 5 7600? According to hwinfo i’m sitting at 1.29v all the time. Or should i look into ways of undervolting manually just to be on a safe side? Thank you for the input.

You might lower the voltage if you prefer, but those levels work just fine. I’d lower it too since I noticed a noticeable boost on my 5600. The story could differ for you, but you’ll still get good performance.

I don't think this gives you confidence... I've been testing AMD Expo (6000MHz CL30) on my ROG Strix X670E-A with a 7950X3D in the latest beta (version 1410). The SOC voltage is set to auto (~1.288, near 1.3v), and it's been stuck around ~1.24v. I could try lowering it, but I don't know the exact range. From what I've read, this seems safe. Maybe some users had bad luck, or it only impacted a few boards. Edit: It briefly went above 1.3v before settling to 1.2v. Updated May 12, 2023 by HAWGT

I'm the X670 Hero owner again, same bios. Attempting those voltages now.

I've attempted Curve Optimizer in BIOS to adjust my voltage, but it doesn't seem to make any changes—it consistently stays at 1.29V. I'm not very comfortable with CPU UV/OC settings and haven't explored them deeply, aside from running Ryzen Master OC on AM4. It seems like Asus might have locked their BIOS in recent updates, with everything set to auto and voltage controls visible. Maybe I need to check other options first before giving up.

Really? Just thinking about it. I’m doing this. This weekend I’ll inspect my socket to look for any visible issues on the PCB and the pins from the motherboard. I’m just hoping Asus releases a proper BIOS soon. You should do the same—check for problems, reach out to your RMA if needed.

I've refreshed the bios, but I can't exceed the standard RAM performance anymore. I'm considering going back to the beta versions...
