Just for fun, I put an old Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio into my PC to see how DSOAL and Indirect Sound compare to the real thing. It works well in Halo, delivering some surround sound to my receiver, but the fear is only stereo output. I don’t have 3.5 analog inputs on my AVR, so I’m limited to optical connections.
