Hi.
I’m looking into playing Fear Original in multiplayer, but Steam doesn’t support it. Is there another way to join a global group for this game?
Does it have LAN capabilities? If so there's software (I forget the name of it, gameranger or something?) that will basically tell the game it's running in LAN mode, but actually set up basically a VPN that others can connect to and play multiplayer through. IDK if it'd work with this game but it's worth a shot. I used to use it for Battlefront II 2005, but thanks to GOG that now has multiplayer on both Steam and GOG.
i'm not sure if lan exists, but i'm interested in playing online with other players globally. there are servers or unofficial multiplayer clients available. since i've been using pc games since 2008, i'm not familiar with current updates. i recall gamespy servers, but they're no longer active. o ye found this link? https://fearcombat.org/
Many games often include private server modifications or hacks that people develop.
I would be cautious and keep my distance while looking into this, but you might be able to find information online.
This game seems aimed at players around 13 to 14 years old, so it may have fewer participants.
