Hello everyone,
I recently bought FC25 from Steam a few months back. It was working perfectly until they released an update and... right on time, it crashed. Now it won’t run on my PC, and the issue is linked to Daemon Tools—it claims that. The surprising part is I don’t have Daemon Tools; I use Rewasd instead. It’s a software from the same stable as Daemon Tools but allows me to map shortcuts for any game controller, making commands like ctrl+c or ctrl+z much easier.

When I use a painting app, I rely on my PS3 navigation controller for zooming, panning, and adjusting brush settings. However, EA decided to stop supporting it on systems with these programs installed. I disabled Rewasd’s services, tried all possible fixes, and reached out to EA support multiple times without getting a response. They now point the blame at Steam. I’m puzzled about how Steam could be involved, but purchasing through Steam gives them an advantage.

I don’t understand why any software should restrict what I can install on my computer. Who are they trying to control?

Anyone have suggestions on how to avoid this problem and still play the game legally?
If I can’t do it right, I’ll look for other ways to enjoy it.

Thanks.

They believe they are responsible for creating that game...
Whether you agree or not, they have the right to safeguard their investment from pirates and cheaters, which means they can decide not to begin the game if something on the system doesn't meet their expectations.

They lack that understanding, don't they? Safeguarding their investment by restricting legal users is quite smart, isn't it? And it seems to come only from very perceptive individuals... By the way, the software they avoid are all really helpful tools. Go and study before becoming a clever person...

Yes they do and you confirmed this when purchasing the game, accepting the terms and conditions, and agreeing to the EULA.

A common reaction from an apple fanboi...
No, I didn't agree anything. Eula doesn't have universal support. Just clicking through doesn't indicate true agreement. Even trying to read and comprehend what's written would take a long time. Nobody dedicates an hour to understand it... Maybe ask for a salary from EA? They might pay for legal representation. It feels like a dictatorship.
I won't remove my tools and I know how to play the game.
If you don't provide proper answers, don't post [bad language removed] here.

It means you accepted what was offered. You’re responsible for understanding what you’re signing up for. Saying “I didn’t read it” doesn’t hold weight. “It’s too long” isn’t a solid reason either. Valve and EA gave you the terms, and you agreed to them. These terms are also part of the valve agreement, which you must accept before buying anything, so perhaps you should be complaining about Valve as well. Don’t try to game the system—you have just two choices.

Yes it is a valid argument. Clicking a button does not mean the person fully read, fully understand and fully accepted that evil agreement. It is a button can be manipulated by everything, there can be language barrier, user can be under aged etc...
I won't complain about valve, they never scammed me before and they protect user rights, not big corporations' asses.... Looks like electronic arts have a lot of paid trolls here.
And again apple fanboi, i will play the game and keep my software. I'm just reporting a scam nicely...

Just to clarify, checking my computer isn't allowed in any situation.

It’s not about being foolish. Removing a loan and failing to fulfill your obligations isn’t an excuse—reading the agreement is your duty. What are you relying on? The claim isn’t a scam; it’s about responsibility.

What’s the basis for this? It’s not the software companies’ fault you missed the terms. You lack the authority to challenge them here.

This CEO would be proud of you. They didn’t have a right to access my computer, but I agreed to the terms so it could run there. Not because they refused to let it work. If it didn’t function at first, I could have asked for a refund. But now the changes have altered its operation. Misusing this EULA is wrong, and you’re aware of that. Still, your lack of understanding makes it seem like a scam. The support team I talk to online showed more compassion than you—keep trying, and maybe one day they’ll recognize your effort and reward you.
