The issue is still unclear. I’m unsure where to begin. I’d like to outline the problem and the solutions I’ve tried. I’ve attached links for reference: Motherboard, ROG STRIX B550-F PSU from Corsair, NZXT Phantom 410 case, and the manual.

Problem: The PC functioned normally until I powered it down. Then I installed new RAM, connected the NOCTUA fans, and tried to fix things. The hub doesn’t connect to the motherboard, so I’m not sure how the fans were getting power. I thought I connected four 4-pin PWM fans to the fan controller hub, but three chassis fans were previously plugged in before that. Now the hub is just mounted without any connection.

I connected the four pins from the fans to the 3-pin fan hub, which seems like a mistake. I’m not certain if the correct pin placement matters. Fans receive power, not send it—right? The last two fans were attached to the 4-pin chassis fan port on the motherboard.

I tried to hook up the fans directly to the hub, but I wasn’t sure if that would work without losing RPM control. I’m worried about missing a pin and didn’t confirm whether the three pins are in the right position. Now the motherboard won’t turn on at all. The only indicator is a red blinking LED showing CPU power is off.

Is it safe to assume the board is still working, or could it be damaged beyond repair? I’ve tested the PSU with a jumpstart method using a metal paperclip, and fans are running on the bottom. I verified twice, but haven’t done load tests. I’m not sure if it’s just dead or if it’s just not getting enough power.

I have a multimeter, though I’m not very comfortable using it for AC power. I could try testing with a screwdriver trick to jumpstart the motherboard, but the manual doesn’t explain how. I also attempted shorting two pins on the CLAC and power switch pins, but got no response.

I did not see the links as pictures, you can just post pictures here. Yes, that is a fan hub, but it doesn't need a motherboard connection, as it's jus 12V. It runs all fans atached at full speed.

I see what you mean. It looks like I might have messed up the connections by putting the fans in the wrong spot. There could have been a ground connection where it shouldn’t have been, which might have caused issues with the module.

The best approach is to completely dismantle the system. Place the motherboard over the MOSI box, ensuring the CPU, RAM, and HSF are in position. Attach the power supply and run a test. Next, connect the power pins and short them.

I'll handle it now, just using a screwdriver. I don't have the jumpstart tool, so I can't use it.

Alright just finished. No dice Sad. Well that solved it. the board is toast. Thank you for your help. I don't even see any visible damage like scarring or anything but that makes total sense now.
