Hey everyone! I just started assembling my first PC with some help from a friend who knows his stuff, and I'm running into connectivity issues in certain games. At first, it was only with Valorant and CoD, so I thought it might be related to anticheats, but now it's also affecting Minecraft (Lunar Client). On my old machine, download speeds were around 120 Mbps, while now they're over 250 Mbps—so it doesn’t seem like a network problem. When I check Valorant using the graphs, it looks like the CPU might be the culprit, with some stats spiking unexpectedly. I don’t think it’s a driver issue since my friend is really skilled at building PCs, and I haven’t had any problems with updates. Hopefully, someone can help me figure this out.

Edit: Both ping and CPU spikes are high during lag spikes, happening every few seconds.

That looks great. Please share your PC specifications. If you need more than just the driver for your network card, remove it.

Your internet speed issues might stem from your service provider, but which plan do you currently use?

You own Verizon, yet according to the article it appears the ping isn't working properly and might indicate a CPU problem.

The calculation should work fine—just check your network connection. It might be related to the driver or internet service.

It might be drivers involved; ensure users leave the Gigabyte site. The setup could include router, switch, modem, or AP. What’s the network path? Is your ISP offering a bundled box? Which internet type do you have (DSL, cable, fiber)? Are you connected via Wi-Fi?
