I recently purchased this PC from a friend who was selling it. He hadn't powered it on for two years, but when I tested it at his place to check its condition, everything functioned perfectly. Once I received it and turned it on at home, the system reported an issue with the fans. I didn’t touch any wires or unplug anything. I followed the setup instructions and looked up troubleshooting steps, tried several methods but none resolved the problem. I’ve attached a photo of the error message from American Megatrends along with images of the PC and its appearance. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
You managed to get close to what you needed in the first image. It seems the white header isn’t receiving any fan power, which is the issue. Related Query: Under the radiator, are there two fans between it and the case top? If not, you’ll need fans for that area, possibly connecting them to the CPU fan header. Also, confirm there are at least two cables coming out of the CPU block—are all of them securely attached?
I don’t understand where these end up. Most of them show up in side views, and there are many loose wires that were removed. When I power on the PC, the two front fans with the radiators start working, which is unusual.
I hooked up the cables and the fans started working, thanks a lot. In the future I'll need to link all the remaining fans, which will take some time. Right now I'm stuck in the UEFI BIOS and it won't let me exit. I've saved and left the system several times, but it won't cooperate. We believe the issue is that neither drive has a Windows OS installed, which is a simple fix. Appreciate your great assistance!
