I have a fairly standard vanilla version of New Vegas without any modifications. I've got the d3d9.dll file ready, but it's easy to remove. Whenever the game ends, the intro causes the whole system to freeze. My computer specs are an R5 2400G @4.0GHz with 16GB of 2400MHz RAM. I'm really unsure how to resolve this issue. Anyone have suggestions?

(I mistakenly shared this in the 'Off-Topic' section and don't know how to remove it. Admin, please delete the other one)

Fallout New Vegas tends to have issues. I recommend trying one of the available community patches.

I've attempted both options, but they continue to fail.

I've reinstalled the name five times and tried those mods but it still doesn't work.

It seems my CPU might be overclocked. I ran a stability test after jumping from 3.8 to 4.0 GHz, but it keeps crashing every time.
