I decided against purchasing Fallout 76 because I was worried about how the gameplay would differ from its usual single-player RPG format, and I’ve already heard a lot of complaints about its numerous bugs. I’m wondering if people think it’s worth buying now that the developers are planning major bug fixes in December, or if the game fundamentally isn’t something that can be improved.

I really enjoy Bethesda's titles and the efforts they've made, but their handling of this game has been disappointing, and it affects their standing. Even if they improve it to be playable and add more content in 76, I’d still hesitate to buy it. The combination of a poorly designed and broken experience, along with their recent PR about the "power armor edition," makes me skeptical. Vote wisely with your money.

Despite the bugs, I'm concerned about the lack of core gameplay. As a Fallout fan who was open to the MP idea, I'm hesitant unless major issues are resolved and the price drops significantly. All the critiques I've heard so far are discouraging.

Current reports suggest ES6 will continue using the existing Creation Engine. Bethesda seems focused on maintaining an evolving creation engine rather than developing a new one.
