It’s wiser to criticize how people waste their own funds? Trusting someone to give an impartial view is acceptable. It also creates influencers with excessive influence due to large followings.
It’s best to wait until you see trustworthy reviews and benchmarks. Bethesda often releases games with bugs, so you might need to wait a few days before playing. Ultimately it depends on you, but check what happened with Batman first. Hold off if you’re not ready, or consider asking Steam for a refund if you’re past their refund limit.
I don't understand your point of view at all. You're trying to distort things so they don't match reality. I follow certain channels because they provide consistent, factual information. I watch their content to evaluate how the game functions and whether it meets the promises made. I generally disregard personal opinions. I'm not complaining about people wasting their own funds. If you experience disappointment with a pre-order and the game fails, you should have returned your money before the release, as you already supported the company financially.
It feels a bit outdated now, but I've played Oblivion. When it came out there were whole quest arcs and main story elements that weren't even in the game yet. There were NPCs that didn't exist, and I'm not sure how long it took to fix those issues. Skyrim was an improvement, but Morrowind was just as lacking. Regardless of the developers, pre-ordering isn't worth it these days.
They’re not always neutral, but they’ll highlight aspects of the game. I can judge whether the benefits match what the reviewer found off-putting. My preferences vary—sometimes I enjoy watching nerd 3, and I don’t always agree with some of his opinions on games since certain concerns differ from mine. I observe how he plays and listen to the game’s tone; my approval depends on it. Also, I think pre-orders can pressure developers to rush releases and release incomplete titles. It suggests they prioritize profit over quality, offering little real value to players.
