Alright, the main story is finished and all the faction missions are complete. The settlement looks good, most areas have been explored. Now what comes next? I’m noticing the game lacks substantial late-game content like in Skyrim or older Fallout titles. Everything fades quickly—only the most useful items, like loot and ammo, are worth keeping. Legendary gear feels disappointing. Anyone else feeling this way? I haven’t found anything meaningful to aim for, and it seems like the game doesn’t offer much beyond what’s already there unless I switch characters.

I discovered a lot of late-game content for FO3 in the DLC. It would be surprising if it were different.

I discovered a half-dead body trapped inside a spinning barrel. I spent five hours observing it. Edit: Just need to stretch your mind a bit.

It seems like I understand the situation now. I’ve got 36 hours left and have been playing on a tough survival mode from the start. I really enjoy the game, though it might feel a bit daunting. On my PC, I have 180 hours for Skyrim, and I haven’t finished the main story—just managed it once on my first PS3 run. As mentioned, I think there’s a lot of endgame material waiting from the DLCs.
