I haven’t played the other Fallout titles, but I’m curious—would buying Fallout 4 be worthwhile if you never played the others? It’s not clear if you’d get the same enjoyment.

The narratives stand alone without any relationship.

we honestly dont know 100% if its going to be as amazing as we hope but the likelihood is high but i would recommend you start with atleast fallout 3 and new vegas, both are amazing games and are more recent so they are easy to get in to unlike the older entries as far as the stories go they are not connected but you do have references to older games in the series that will be lost on you if you havent played them

It's a Bethesda title, many of their games look good, but I really question whether this one will be okay.

You can buy both Fallout 3 and New Vegas on Steam if you invest upfront. New Vegas is available for just $3, making it a great starting point in the series.

It's accurate, and you're right about those kinds of mentions. References like Doctor Li visiting the Commonwealth in the end of Fallout 3 are well documented.

Considering Fallout 4 could be a good idea, especially since it's a story-driven experience. It focuses on narrative and character development rather than just combat. After completing the main plot, you'll explore different factions and make choices that affect the world.

We lack information about what comes next after Fallout 4. Sharing details about prior titles would risk revealing significant plot points.
