Failed to start the PC following the EXPO power-on sequence.
I assembled my PC and it started up into Windows without issues. I installed all the drivers and connected everything. When I tried to enable EXPO, it didn’t boot after ten minutes. I reset the CMOS using a wire but still couldn’t start. After removing and replacing the CMOS battery, the system remained unresponsive. I flashed the BIOS settings, yet the PC didn’t power on. My motherboard is an Asrock B650 PG Lightning with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU, two 16GB G.Skill Flare X5 6000 RAM modules (30-38-38-96). Both the CPU and DRAM indicators are lit. Is this just a prolonged memory training or does another issue exist?
For about ten seconds memory training on AM5 typically finishes in newer BIOS versions, a bit longer at 2x32GB/2x48GB, and around five minutes with 4x32GB/4x48GB. Could you share the exact RAM package you have? Are slots 2 and 4 being used from the CPU position? Also, what BIOS revision are you running? Some AM5 boards lack a working CMOS reset feature—disconnecting the 24-pin connector and reattempting with a reset button or battery might help.
Disconnecting the 24-pin connector and resetting the CMOS yields identical outcomes, while both the DRAM and CPU motherboard indicators remain active.
All four devices are not sending POST requests and are currently under CPU load.
