Failed to set up Windows 7 on the new computer (Error code 0x80070570)
Hey everyone, today I installed my new PC but ran into issues with Windows 7. I made a bootable USB using Linus' guide in an old NCIX video, yet I keep getting the error 0x80070570. I tried formatting, cleaning, partitioning, and converting the drive to GPT, but it still doesn’t work. My specs are listed on my tablet, though I’m not sure they’re there. I have a Z97M-D3H motherboard, Intel 4690k, Kingston Fury RAM 1866MHz 8GB, and an EVGA GTX 970 with overclocking. Thanks in advance, and sorry for any typos—I’m on my tablet.
I understand this might sound like a standard Microsoft response, but when the error shows up you can click it off and return to the main menu of the installer. If you're okay with that, without restarting or using any other method, could you attempt to restart the installation? If it still doesn’t work (it helped me twice but may not for you), please proceed with these steps: Verify your RAM—maybe one is faulty or a slot isn’t working. Try installing with just 2GB of RAM, or use the smallest possible if needed. Look at your BIOS settings for hard drive information and note what it says. Adjust the SATA controller to AHCI mode. Disable any Windows features in the BIOS (if available) and reset the BIOS to its default configuration. Finally, switch to another ISO/Windows image to use on the USB or a different USB drive.
I learned about restarting the installation without rebooting, but wasn’t sure how. I’ll give it a try soon. The SATA controller is set to AHCI and Windows 8 features are disabled. Just reset the BIOS back to its default settings. The ISO I’m using comes from this link: http://www.techverse.net/download-window...l-servers/
It could help if you try the first choice. When the error appears, press "close" or the "x" at the top right of the popup. If it doesn’t automatically return you to the installer screen, look for a button that leads there—often labeled "Installer Menu" or simply "Install Windows." Check if you can locate your version and attempt the process. If needed, it may indicate a faulty ISO. http://www.w7forums.com/threads/official...ads.12325/ Would you be able to share the video link so I can identify your method? Also, please mention your USB brand and size.
