Pins can be reused from an older CPU to a newer one, though a 100$ new CPU and a 60$ used one present challenges. Finding someone willing to do the job fairly and correctly might be difficult. If you’re ready to upgrade, you can still purchase a better CPU for testing. Unless you’re considering AM5 or Intel paths, and the motherboard isn’t functioning, you’ll likely need a replacement anyway—though you’ll have the option to return the CPU later.
