I've installed Linux on my Toshiba Satellite C55-B5100 using current Ubuntu Lubuntu and Mint versions. All of them displayed the same issue—boots from the live USB but won’t start properly. I adjusted the boot order and placed the HDD at the top. Thanks in advance.

No, I haven't adjusted the secure boot settings in the BIOS.

Yes, you've already set up Linux, but it isn't starting when you power on the system.

Linux Mint is set up but won't start. Live USB installations work correctly.

I'll attempt to assist you. Please note I'm new to this process, so I might make mistakes, but I'll try to avoid errors you've already made. Load the live USB of your choice, then open the terminal and add the repository using sudo apt-add-repository ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer. After that, update packages with sudo apt-get update and install grub-customizer with sudo apt-get install. The program should verify existing items; let me know if you need further help.

It didn’t function properly, either because the program failed to install or for another reason. Could you clarify what exactly happened so I can better assist you?

If the program isn't functioning, try reinstalling it after thoroughly wiping the hard drive during the advanced setup process. It seems the EFI partition wasn't cleared, which might be causing the HDD to fail to boot.
