Hey everyone, I've been having really bad gaming performance lately. My CS GO is only running at 15fps even with all low settings turned up to the max of 19. I tried reinstalling the drivers and updating the game, but that didn't help. Also, disabling the Game DVR didn't improve things. Anyone have any ideas or solutions? My system has an i5 7500 and a GTX 1060 with 6GB RAM. Thanks!

Verify if your game is utilizing the GPU or the built-in one. This can occur occasionally.

I confirmed it works with the GTX 1060. I tried the same approach, reinstalled the GeForce drivers, and verified it handled the games.

Did you connect your monitor's cable to the GPU or the motherboard?

I tried it and everything seemed okay until I left the PC for a while. After turning it back on, this was the day my performance dropped significantly.

Check if resetting or reinstalling Windows is the solution I think it’s a Windows problem. Updated September 1, 2018 by Void Master — this isn’t correct.

Whether it matters if it's not connected to the GPU depends on your setup. If you're using it with the motherboard, it might still function but could affect performance or stability.
