Extremely low FPS ?
around last week my computer suddenly dropped to 50fps while playing games and now it remains stuck at that level. when I first launch the game (like VALORANT), it runs smoothly (about 400fps) but then gradually decreases to 50 and stays between 40-60. i suspect a gpu issue, though i'm not very familiar with pc hardware. i've reinstalled drivers, reset the system, adjusted video settings, but nothing has improved. my specs are intel i5-11400, 16gb ram, geforce 3060.

CPU/GPU temperatures and usage while playing?
SSD usage? How full is it?
The case being referenced is the Sapphire 7970. The GPU model in question is the dual 7970, equipped with two fans. I purchased a matching dual fan set on eBay for $12, which included wires, and installed them without removing the shroud. This process required some skill. If you're not experienced, a local repair shop might be a better option at a lower cost, but first confirm the fans aren't obstructed or damaged.
What is the age of your GPU? This unit should come with a 3-year warranty from ASUS. If you've used it for less than three years, it would be best to replace it with a new one.
If it's not covered by warranty, do you know anyone who has removed the shroud from a GPU before?
eBay offers the exact fit fan at a low price.

Which game is this? When was it initially released? A few classic titles handle this under specific settings on certain PCs. Regarding the case, does it show any signs of dust or heat accumulation? I regularly clean out dust from my PCs each spring, which helps minimize buildup. It appears that less dust can lower heat generation. If a part becomes excessively hot—typically the CPU—the system might throttle performance. I’m not certain if some GPUs exhibit this behavior currently.
