I have a GPU that reaches extremely high temperatures (110°C max, 70°C current). I’m not sure what to do. To be clear, it’s been stable and functioning properly, but I’m concerned it might fail soon. Should I take action? I have thermal paste available, but no pads if I need to replace them. I’m a student on a tight budget and won’t have money until next summer when I get a job again. I’ll share some screenshots later. My setup includes an RX 5700 XT Phantom Gaming i5 10400F, Gigabyte B460 Mobo 32GB RAM, and 2TB storage.

It's about six months since you bought it, yet it still feels very affordable. When you swap it in again, will the thermal pads need to be changed?

It seems production halted around three years back. Even though it gathered dust in a storage area, the paste remained dry. You might be able to swap out the pads, but only if your VRAM temperatures are also problematic.

It arrived on Amazon in a brand new condition. The VRAM temperatures look good, so no adjustments seem necessary.

The listing mentions an Asus GPU, but the images show an Asrock model. This discrepancy might be due to a mislabeling or a different part of the component being displayed.

You should reapply the coating properly. Also keep in mind that the 5700XT is a high-power device and can generate significant heat, so don’t worry if temperatures rise above what you anticipate after the reflow.
