I've faced several issues with my new XPS 15, which is disappointing since I expected it to run smoothly. With the I9 13900H and RTX 4070, I anticipated smooth performance for tasks like browsing and video playback. Looking at Task Manager, my integrated graphics appear to be a major bottleneck: during video playback they can reach 100% while other components operate normally. What's happening? Edit: it seems the "3D" tab is suffering the most damage, with others using minimal resources.

Ensure your integrated graphics aren't limiting performance. Opting for a discrete GPU is worthwhile if you've invested in one.

It wouldn't be ideal, but if you're facing speed problems, change them when connected, and when you're out you want longer battery life, then the performance loss is worth it. But at home with the chance to stay plugged in, don't give up on speed for the added power.
