Hey so basically whenever I am playing a game or whatever my ping randomly spikes up into the thousands. This is very annoying. This never happened before it only started about 2 weeks ago. Also, I ran a test on Dsl reports and my buffer bloat was an F. If that helps anyone. Please leave your suggestions. Thanks!

If nothing has altered on your side, it likely points to an outside issue. Reach out to your ISP to assist with troubleshooting, as the change occurred two weeks ago, or consider switching providers if available.

You could mention the significant ping spikes to your ISP. There are steps you can take to address the issue, such as checking your network setup or contacting their support for further assistance.

You clarify everything was normal until two weeks ago, yet now you notice huge ping increases while playing online games. Of course, they might have you go through the basics: restart your PC, reboot your router and modem, perform a factory reset on both devices, see if the issue persists across different games, observe how websites load for you, and understand streaming video performance. Although your ISP only offers connectivity and isn't liable for third-party services, they should at least conduct some simple checks to confirm their service is functioning well for most games—helping identify the remaining problematic game. If they refuse even basic troubleshooting, consider switching ISPs or upgrading your modem and router.
