I’m willing to invest in PayPal if it helps me out. I’m really confused. I set up a new system from scratch—fresh Windows 10 install using a USB key, everything worked fine at first. But once I got into Windows, the internet disappeared. I thought maybe drivers were the problem. Luckily, I plugged in a USB key, downloaded the right drivers, and everything unzipped without issues. I ran the setup, but nothing started. They blocked me due to compatibility problems. I messaged Asus, they said the board is defective, so I returned it for replacement. I ordered a new board from Gigabyte, but the same issue appeared after swapping everything. I can’t even get my SATA drive to boot. I’ve never seen anything like this before. Technically, the generic drivers should work now since these boards are standard. I tried updating with a fresh ISO from Microsoft, but it still wouldn’t run. I flashed both boards and updated the BIOS, yet nothing changed. I don’t have a bench or spare board to test parts. Any advice would mean a lot to me. If it helps, I’m open to sending money.

The previous SATA storage device is likely outdated. You may need to adjust BIOS configurations to enable booting from it.

You have an Aorus Z690 Ultra setup with a Corsair 850 gold power supply, dual 16GB DDR5 RAM sticks, a Core i5-13600K processor, and a WD_BLACK SN850X NVMe M.2 2TB SSD.

The SATA is not very outdated—it was part of my previous setup. It’s a 1TB NAND drive, and it appears in the BIOS settings, though it can’t be booted from there.

Navigate to settings, select IO power, ensure Ethernet is active. Adjust CSM support in the boot menu. Yes, you can start the previous SATA disk now.

Find the IO configuration and ensure it’s active. The CSM is running, but the storage device isn’t recognized as bootable.

The Ethernet controller is always active, set by the BIOS without manual control.

No more. Once the initial setup completes, the device ceases to be usable.

Your boot menu appears as a list of options displayed during startup.
