Sometimes I wonder if my GTX 970 is trying to stop working because its GPU speed drops unexpectedly and suddenly performance plummets.

I configured my SLI profile correctly as well. For bone stock, I reach about 1900 when hitting a wall or floor, and around 700-800 when playing in normal conditions.

Without any shaders, performance remains high and you see around 2K in flat environments. When I enable SEUS Ultra or a simple motion blur shader, it mainly adds blur effects without affecting frame rate much.

It doesn't really matter because Minecraft runs as a self-contained Java application, using about 90% of the processor power.
