I got all four cores running at 4.7ghz with a voltage of 1.264 volts using ibt and the high preset settings. It worked fine so far. Should I try Prime next? Also, something weird happened: my HWMonitor says my vcore is exactly 1.264, but when I look in the BIOS, it shows me setting to 1.275. Why are these numbers different?
Prime 95, Small FFT, AVXs Off, is a better test for how well things stay cool under pressure than checking if voltage holds steady. It applies a lot of power, but the load doesn't wobble like Cinebench or Asus Realbench do when testing voltages. Vdroop and Load Line Calibration are also part of this. Vdroop happens inside the CPU chip itself, so you can't stop it from happening. LLC is a feature that tries to make up for that loss.
Was that just one run, or did you do 'infinite loop'? Infinite Loop: Open, click on File, then Preferences. Under Minimum Test Duration, enter some ridiculous number, like 9999999999999, and it'll default to the highest it offers. Then run it for like an hour - although, the longer, the better. Should be. No one needs to use higher than the medium LLC settings unless using LN2, or the mobo VRMs are liquid cooled.
