Hi everyone! My brother's computer has been experiencing overheating problems that seem unusual. It's running an older build, mostly playing Valorant, and I've recorded a CPU temperature of +90°C, which doesn't make sense. Changing the thermal paste and cleaning the PC hasn't helped either. I'm considering replacing his CPU soon and would appreciate some suggestions for temporary fixes while waiting. He's using the original cooler and two case fans.

It seems you're likely using the stock cooler. You might want to remove it, apply more thermal compound, and make sure it's securely fastened. Also verify the fan curve to confirm proper airflow over the cooler.

Consider removing the sidepanel from the Abit of a longshot. The case seems to offer good airflow, but just in case it’s faulty, grab an affordable tower such as the Assassin’s King/Burst or a dual tower like the Peerless Assassin/Phantom Spirit 120 and its variants.
