I recently purchased an Asus Vivobook M570 with Ryzen 5 3500U, integrated Vega 8 graphics and GTX 1050 2GB, plus 8GB RAM (6GB used). My issue is that both the CPU and GTX 1050 get extremely hot—around +88°C during a short gaming session. The temps stay high without dropping, and I’m worried because I power off the laptop mid-game. The latest drivers are installed after a clean Windows 10 install, but the problem continues. What should I do?

Are you looking at a brand-new machine or something that’s been used before? If it’s been used, dust might collect inside and a simple clean-up could help. New models still offer several choices, so there’s no need to stress. How do you typically use the laptop? Are you working on a desk, resting your hands on your lap, or using it with a monitor, keyboard, and mouse? You might want to buy a laptop cooling pad or fan to place the device on a stable surface.

Hey there! Check out the forums. It seems the fan on that device isn't doing well. A laptop cooling pad could help, though it's also promoted for regular use and gaming. Try adjusting the settings in Civ to see if it makes a difference.
