Hello, Your I5 4590 with Corsair H80i is running smoothly until now. After moving it and reinstalling thermal paste, the temperatures still spike to around 100°C. The pump seems fine, but the tubes are getting hotter than expected. I’ve noticed only cold air coming from the radiator, no bubbling or rattling sounds. The Corsair link says everything is working, but I’m unsure what else to try. Could someone help me figure this out? Thanks! Also, please let me know if I missed anything important.

Confirm the connection is secure and the voltage is correct.

The AIO isn't functioning properly—perhaps the pump is still operational but the coolant has completely evaporated, or there are some obstructions preventing proper flow. Since you can't empty or refill it, it's best to replace the cooler.

Yes, I'm confident everything is set up correctly. I've replaced CPU coolers multiple times before and never encountered any issues.

Isn't there a way for me to be sure? The aio is sort of old. Got it in 2015. Do they have like a number os years that they are suppost to work?

Consider giving your radiator a gentle shake while positioning it above the pump—it worked for me twice. Also, check for any bubbles to avoid issues, or simply swap out the AIO if it’s outdated. A 4th generation i5 doesn’t require one since it’s not overly complex.

I don't believe I'm missing bubbles, but I'll give it a try. This AIO was from 2015, and I got the CPU too. That seems a bit outdated?

I’m pretty sure AIO is no longer around. I’ve been purchasing their products since the original H50 back in 2009 or so, and the only failures I’ve seen were on older H100i models from that era. They seem to be functioning fine now, but the temperatures are just getting higher. If you want a cheaper alternative, a $35 tower cooler would be a solid choice.

It's quite an older model, but it remains a solid CPU. You don't require an AIO—any standard air cooler would suffice.
