Extra SATA ports for the hard drive in my power supply unit
Good day, your current PSU only came with one cable for a 6 pin to 4 SATA connection, which you use for your HDDs (three 3.5" and one 2.5"). After upgrading your laptop to an SSD, you now have an extra 2.5" HDD that you want to install in your PC, but you don’t have any SATA ports left. Would it be okay to use a Molex to SATA adapter or should you get a SATA splitter for your two 2.5" drives? Your PSU is a 650W Gold-rated Huntkey MVP brand. Your system runs low power with an i3-9100F, GTX 1070 and 2x8GB RAM.
Connecting Molex to a SATA would work well for a basic hard drive. They consume very little power.
