Extended startup durations observed.
My computer consistently takes a long time to start up, and I never realized why. I turned off all startup programs, switched to fast boot mode, disabled SMART checks during boot, and more. Still, boot times remain between 90 and 100 seconds, which is frustrating. I’m hoping someone can explain what might be going wrong. Here are my system details: motherboard model, CPU, GPU, RAM, storage setup. I’ve also observed that the motherboard status lights stay on the longest during startup. Would anyone be able to help me get things back to normal BIOS speeds or let me know if this is normal?
Are you referring to a 2x32GB or 4x16GB configuration? Also, a 6200MT/s speed may cause problems, mainly by defaulting to 2:1 mode and resulting in poor performance. Consider adjusting the UCLK DIV1 setting in BIOS to match MEMCLK for stability testing. Alternatively, lowering the speed to 6000MT/s could help. Regarding your current concern, it seems you're dealing with AM5 memory training, which can be time-consuming, particularly with larger RAM capacities. You might benefit from enabling Memory Context Restore in BIOS (though it's usually off by default). Be aware that some BIOS versions may affect reboot behavior, so updating if necessary could resolve the issue.
It's a 2x32GB system. Initially, I used DOCP 1 for memory settings in BIOS with a frequency of 6400MT/s. I adjusted it to 6200MT/s, configured UCLK DIV1 Mode to match MEMCLK, and turned on Memory Context Restore. After booting, I performed stress tests and everything appears stable. My new BIOS time is now 29 seconds. Thank you very much! This really helped me out a lot.
