I need to upgrade the VGA cables for my JideTech 4-port KVM. The existing ones are too short, and the connection type is standard male to female. I require a regular VGA extension cable to extend the KVM setup, but I only have 9-pin cables available, which they mistakenly label as full 15-pin. I’ve had to return some cables before due to this issue. Do you have any suggestions for a genuine 15-pin wired extension cable that matches the KVM’s requirements? Thank you.

Thank you for your assistance. The cables you mentioned are standard VGA and don't extend, or they only use 9 pins instead of the full 15.

You're looking for female-to-female connectors, suitable couplers, and information on pin configurations. You're also curious about performance differences between 9-pin and 15-pin variants and whether to upgrade the existing cable. You're checking if the KVM maker has any guidance.

I attempted to connect with standard VGA cables using a coupler, but it didn’t work. Yes, one end must be female and the other male. A smart approach—I’ll search for matching cables. All 15-pin connections on the KVM are occupied since nine pins handle video 4, USB, and two manage audio. I just sent them an email, which is a great plan.
