For locations such as PC World in the UK, this process is generally the usual method. The Windows recovery or installer is kept on a separate partition of your C drive.

Suitable for OEM setups, yet impractical. When discussing recovery partitions, I remember purchasing a brand-new Dell Inspiron years back—out of the box it had a drive letter pre-assigned to my recovery partition. Still puzzled about that. Anyway, I’m just going off topic.

OEMs can be confusing. I didn’t receive a recovery disk from the manufacturer on my Acer computer.
