I'm using an AM5 setup with a Ryzen 7700x and a 5600mhz 2x16GB memory kit. MSI B650 gaming PC with a motherboard slot. For a long time, EXPO has been working smoothly, but now my system freezes completely and loops during recovery. The boot volume is stuck after just a minute, showing various blue screens. My concern is, what could cause such a sudden drop from stable performance to total lockup? Could it be related to RAM issues or the CPU?

When was the last time your bios were refreshed? It seems strange that 5600 isn’t leading to any problems. Something might be off.

I believe it's an October 23 BIOS. I just don't understand the sudden change?

I understand Memory Context Restore might be the issue, so consider disabling it to test if it resolves the problem. It’s also possible the system was recently altered and the memory isn’t properly connected. While unlikely, it’s worth checking. There’s a reasonable chance that persistent BSODs in the recovery partition mean your Windows installation is corrupted and you may need a full reinstall. You might still be lucky and the OS continues to function, but this could be a sign of a deeper problem requiring a reset.

I didn't note that turning off EXPO restarts the system. Memory context restoration in DDR5 is crucial for performance; otherwise it's quite sluggish. I plan to retrain EXPO tomorrow and check if the issue is resolved.
