I recently switched from a Ryzen 5 7600 to a Ryzen 7 7800x3d and changed my RAM from 2x16GB DDR5 5600 to 2x16GB DDR5 6000 CL30. The setup includes a Ryzen 7 7800x3d 2x16GB DDR5 6000 CL30 MSI X670-P WIFI AM5 motherboard, an EVGA FTW3 RTX3080 10GB NVMe SSD with a 4TB drive, and an EVGA G6 1000W PSU. The system runs Windows 10 x64 with the latest BIOS.

Previously, when I installed the Ryzen 5 and 5600 MHz RAM three years ago, EXPO wouldn’t activate at the rated speed. The machine would start but then crash unpredictably—either a BSOD or just a slowdown. Now that I have the new Ryzen 7 and 6000 MHz RAM, the same EXPO problem persists. Disabling it lets the system run smoothly at 4800MHz. If a BSOD occurs, it triggers a ‘Page Fault in Non-Paged Area’ error.

The MSI X670 board seems to have similar past issues reported by other users. I’m curious if there are any fixes or workarounds since it’s been around for some time.
