You're looking for an alternative to a full hackintosh setup while still enjoying OS X. The Mac Mini could work if you don’t need a complete system. For music production, FL Studio and Pro Tools are solid choices since they’re available on the Mac. Regarding "Mac Experience," there isn’t a direct way to try it without purchasing it, but you might explore Apple’s official resources or community guides for more information.

You can obtain the ISO file. Visit the Apple Store? VM?

I’m mainly drawn to Macs because of Logic Pro. http://www.apple.com/logic-pro/ If you’re into audio work, that’s a solid reason. The main concern is whether Logic Pro justifies the change.

This system thrives on cutting-edge advancements, so reverting to older methods would limit its potential and performance.

Macs may seem outdated, but they offer unique advantages. Logic Pro stands out as one of the top DAWs, though it’s only available on Macs. I’m exploring it for the first time—FL Studio 12 is another option to consider.

You might visit the store and request a demonstration so you can test it yourself. You're uncertain about their availability, but it's something you could consider.

I wouldn't recommend switching to Logic. I bought a MacBook Pro for Logic but often ended up using Pro Tools again. (I don't consider Logic the top DAW.)

The reference uses a play on terms: NT means "New Technology," while Windows 2000 is built on that foundation.

It seems the Mac Mini runs Intel's fourth-generation i5/i7 chips, which are considered outdated technology.
