Hi everyone, I've really liked Far Harbor so far, but after spending some time exploring the new island, I've noticed my FPS drops compared to playing in the old Commonwealth. It's not a big issue, just noticeable enough to catch my attention. It might be because the island feels more intense and packed. Have you experienced this before?

You don't play Fallout, but searching online will show you many discussions. You might find it helpful to check the Steam forum for the game.

It appears the problem is mainly related to optimization, unlike in Far Harbor. I recommend checking the old lord and saviour Google for unofficial patches or adjusting the .ini settings.

I’m okay with the situation so far, considering it gets worse as I dive deeper—every few updates it feels like someone’s trying to eliminate you. Does Bethesda tend to release patches slowly, or are they quick about it? (Fallout 4 is definitely my first Bethesda title I really enjoy)

For context, the unofficial update for Skyrim on the Skyrim Nexus performs better than any patch Bethesda has issued. That's just the way it is.

On a rig similar to yours, it would likely stem from an efficiency problem.
